Dr. Phair built his first model of a biological system in 1967 while working with Dr. Leslie DeGroot at the MIT Clinical Research Center. Since that time he has constructed or helped construct nearly 200 models of biological and physiological systems ranging from single proteins to single cells to tissues to organs to organ systems to whole human metabolic systems. Dr. Phair has been part of many clinical research projects and while not a physician himself, he was on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine for 17 years and has taught cardiovascular physiology to more than 2000 medical students. Moreover, those nearly 30 years of experience have included 22 years of direct responsibility for experimental design and bench research ranging from physiology in anesthetized dogs to isolated perfused organs to tissue culture to cell culture to antisense DNA.
Thus, BioInformatics Services draws on a broad in-depth experience in basic science and clinical research. We speak your language, and we have found through many years of experience that a modeler or a computational biologist is dramatically more effective if he or she has hands-on laboratory experience. We know you will test us, and we look forward to convincing you that there is no communication barrier between us and you. Return to the list of BIS selling points.
